Australian country music for sale

The Australian Country Music Foundation (ACMF) has become a point of sale in Tamworth, Country Music Capital, for recordings by Australian independent country music artists.

Hundreds of CDs and cassettes have been taken on by the ACMF following the closure of Sound City II, the only remaining retailer of Australian independent country music in the city.

Material available is distributed via the Country Music Capital based Mulga Music which does not operate a shop front (and with the greatly appreciated assistance of former Sound City II proprietor Tony Doyle).

An extensive range from ABBA (Australian Bush Balladeers Association), Bellbird Music (Hadley catalogue) and LBS is also available.

A limited range of music by mainstream artists and pioneer artist recordings is also available.

The ACMF is open in Tamworth every Monday to Saturday from 10am and longer during Country Music Capital's two major festivals in January and July.

A detailed listing of artist product will be made available on our website soon and the range will be expanded in the months and years to come in conjunction with Mulga Music.

The Australian Country Music Foundation was formed 10 years ago in 1992 to establish a national country music archive and resource centre in Tamworth and is building a country music hall of fame in conjunction.
